GoFundMe Pro Includes Special Olympics Maryland at Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum in Baltimore

GoFundMe Pro, the peer-to-peer fundraising platform used for the Plunge and other special events, invited Special Olympics Maryland to participate in the Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum held in Baltimore from Tuesday, February 24, through Thursday, February 25.
As part of its sponsorship of the forum, GoFundMe Pro hosted a “Mission Activation” booth highlighting the athletes and coaches representing Maryland at the upcoming USA Games in Minnesota this June. Conference attendees were invited to write personalized notes of encouragement to each athlete and coach. In addition, GoFundMe Pro committed to making a $50 donation to each participant’s fundraising page.
Special Olympics Maryland was also featured in the morning program following the keynote address. President and CEO Jim Schmutz and athlete Justin Hunsinger participated in a Q&A session, during which Justin shared how Special Olympics has positively impacted his life and what he is most looking forward to at the upcoming USA Games.
