Joe Wu’s Health Messenger Highlight
Joe Wu, 61, is a Special Olympic Athlete from Montgomery County Maryland. Joe has been involved with Special Olympics Maryland for 30 years. Joe enjoys Powerlifting as an athlete.
Joe is working towards being a coach in Track and Field, Bowling and Snowshoe. Joe most enjoys gaining confidence and helping other athletes. Joe was part of the Special Olympics USA team that went to Shanghai, China in 2007 for the World Summer Games. He earned a silver medal in Sailing. And also made it through a typhoon during the competition.

Joe speaks Mandarin Chinese and Tiawanese, (a little). Joe is happily retired from NIH after working there almost 10 years.
