Greetings Supporter, September was another good month to marvel with pride at the innate ability of our athletes to transform the lives of people who they touch. Our athletes are leading the way to build communities of dignity and respect together through sport, we are continuing to create a world where opportunity is not limited by disability.

Team Maryland Training Camp 
This month, Special Olympics Maryland athletes traveled to Mercersburg Academy to participate in training camp in preparation for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games.

On September 18th, the Baltimore Ravens hosted 100 Special Olympics Maryland athletes for a Play 60 All Ability Clinic at the Under Armour Performance Center.

On September 7th, Special Olympics Maryland athletes and Law Enforcement Torch Run representatives who participated in the 2017 World Winter Games in Austria were honored by the Lieutenant Governor at the Maryland State House.

On September 22nd, the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services held the annual Tug-of-War competition to benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
