January 2019

Greetings Supporter,

If it’s January in Maryland, people are talking about and taking the Plunge.

The 23rd annual Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland, hosted by our good friends at the Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Park Services - Sandy Point State Park, demonstrated the very best of what it means to be a Marylander.

The mid-winter week long celebration kicked off with the Super Plunge on January 18th and 19th, followed by our traditional three-day Plunge weekend: Cool Schools on Thursday, January 24th, Police/Military/Fire/EMS and Corporate on Friday, January 25th, and the main Plunge on Saturday, January 26th.
