Alexea Wentz’s Health Messenger Profile

My name is Alexea Wentz. I love spending time with my family, writing, and inspiring others. I am a Special Olympics Maryland athlete that competes in cheer and dance, bowling, and bocce. I wanted to become a health messenger to inspire athletes to be the best version of themselves. I want to help other athletes achieve their health goals.
As a Health Messenger I will make sure that my teammates know to bring water and snacks with them before any competition or practice. Maybe also making sure our coach has extra for us if that is an option. and keep encouraging them to choose the best meal and making sure they drink plenty of water. Some healthy choices we could eat would be banana, apples, and nuts. We could encourage athletes to pick those options by telling them what each of those items provide.
I want to make sure other athletes stay healthy and make sure they get the right nutrients in their body during competition. A good meal schedule for competition days would be:
breakfast-eggs avocados and a banana
lunch- a turkey sandwich with an apple and a water
dinner- chicken and rice with green beans.
