Make Some Noise and Make a Difference at the Opening Ceremony
Each year, Towson is selected to host major national sporting events, from the elite NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships to the prestigious Preakness Horse Race. Thousands of spectators gather to enjoy the entertainment and support the athletes. There is one annual event that brings together over 1,100 athletes, 400 coaches and 2,000 volunteers. The elaborate pageantry of opening ceremonies, the contagious smiles, the outstanding displays of sportsmanship and the drama of competition combine for an event that has as much of a profound effect on those in the stands as it does on the athletes themselves.
