3rd Annual Annapolis One Mile Challenge

The Annapolis City Police Department is proud to present the Third Annual One Mile Challenge to Benefit Special Olympics Maryland. The One Mile Challenge will be in a wave format, which will allow all levels of runners (and walkers) to participate. There will also be a Team Competition category, allowing friendly competitions between Police and Firefighters, Health Clubs, Running Shops, Restaurants and other types of businesses. The Annapolis One Mile Challenge is a great team-building opportunity!
This is a mostly flat and downhill course through the Annapolis Historic District. Begins at City Dock, takes Randall Street to a left onto King George Street to left onto College Avenue to left onto Church Circle to left onto Main Street back to the finish line at City Dock.

Location: Kiwanis Wallas Park, 3300 Norberts Way, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042
Competition: Traditional and Unified Teams, and Skills Competition
Schedule of Events: 8:00am-9:00am Registration
9:15am Opening Ceremonies
10:00am-4:00pm Competition
11:30-1:00pm Lunch
Rain Date: No Rain Date
Practice time: Teams may practice after registration. Practice time will end at approximately 9:00am
Lunch: Outback Steakhouse will provide a sandwich lunch to all registered athletes and coaches. Soda and chips will also be provided. A snack bar will be open (Hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, candy, soda, etc) for athletes and guests to purchase additional items. (Outback will not be selling any lunches)
Medicals: Current medicals are required for all athletes; copies must be held by coaches at the competition. Athletes without current medicals will be ineligible to compete.
