Families 

Families are the most valuable resource at Special Olympics Maryland. Special Olympics brings families together through the satisfaction of increased physical fitness, the thrill of competition and the shared joy of camaraderie with fellow athletes, family and community. They are an integral component to our program and have the opportunity to contribute in a variety of areas from coaching, games management, evaluation, transportation, and of course as the most important support person an athlete can have during training and competition. We look forward to the unique perspective and experience you bring to promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of Special Olympics Maryland.

 Every family is called upon to make sacrifices in the name of love, but families of Special Olympics athletes have done much, much more. Each day, they demand civil rights for their children that others take for granted in: education employment and health.”
