Flacco Shines in Special Olympics Maryland Cleats

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On December 3rd, Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Joe Flacco represented Special Olympics Maryland by wearing customized cleats as part of the NFL's #MyCauseMyCleats game. Flacco lead the Ravens to a 44-20 win, throwing for a season-high 269 yards and 2 touchdowns.

2017 State Bowling Results

On December 3rd, Special Olympics Maryland athletes competed at Bowl America Gaithersburg for the 2017 State Bowling Competition.

Adaptive Sports at Cedar Lane School

On December 12th, the Golf Channel premiered a story featuring Special Olympics Maryland athletes from Cedar Lane School who participate in the Motor Activities Training Program. Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver tells the story of how teacher/coach Jody Duff uses adapted golf equipment to connect her student/athletes to the sport.

FACTSpecial Olympics athletes train and compete year-round! During this year's Winter Games competition from February 25-27, athletes will compete in skiing and snowshoe events.
