November 2017

Greetings Supporter,

As we wrap up Thanksgiving and head toward the holiday season, I say thank you for your generous support that contributes to our collective, relentless pursuit of the best program for our athletes. They deserve it. We will continue our efforts to provide it.

We will be good stewards of your investment as we build inclusive communities of dignity and respect. You can take pride in knowing that with your support, through sport we are creating a world where opportunity is not limited by disability.

#PlayUnified,

MYTHSpecial Olympics Maryland receives most of its donations through government funding and sponsorship.

FACTThe majority of donations Special Olympics Maryland receives comes from individuals! In fact, individual gifts given through events and personal donations have accounted for up to 72% of SOMD's revenue in a year. And we receive about 40% of those donations at the end of the year. So please keep us in your holiday giving plans!
