Hannah Hart, of the Anne Arundel County program, is participating in the Athletics event at the 2010 National Games. Hannah has been training for the event by practicing every Wednesday. Running relays and practicing the long jump are two of Hart’s favorite activities. Hannah also enjoys singing and going to football games at her high school. Hannah became involved with Special Olympics as a nine-year-old when she developed a passion to run. Coach Eva Tucholski does a great job in helping Hannah along the way, she said. Hannah feels strongly toward using teamwork as a successful strategy. She is constantly encouraging other opponents to work hard. “Go out and do your best and we can do it together,” Hannah is often overheard saying to her teammates.
