“A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”- Margaret Mead
One such small group is the Johns Hopkins University Center for Technology in Education, and we are honored to recognize them.
Since 2002, this wonderfully talented, energetic and forward-thinking team of individuals have assisted us in raising the bar at our annual Athlete Congress! The staff, under the leadership of Jeanne Dwyer (parent of SOMO athlete Francis Dwyer) have gone from casual observers to intricate members of the planning and execution of both the Athlete Congress Preparatory Course and the official Athlete Congress session.
Through the use of technology, sessions have become more interactive. Through the engagement of personnel, sessions are creating friendships.
Special thanks to Director Jackie Nunn and Deputy Director Lynne Mainzer for their initial belief in our athletes and the importance of ensuring that their voices were heard, literally. And our sincere appreciation to the team of people who are now making a difference in athletes lives including Jeanne Dwyer, Christine Alexander, Marvis Harden, Kimbrough Kelly, Chris Swanson, Linda Carling, Karen Salinas, Helen Smetheram, Matt Hall and Janneth Gutierrez.
