LOCATION: WISP Mountain Resort Hotel & Conference Center

EVENT FORMAT: Three-day competition alpine, modified, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing for Special Olympics athletes. Elaborate Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and Special Events celebrate the athletes’ accomplishments. Family activities provide a forum for family and friends of the competitors to socialize.

VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are recruited from the American Legion, Frostburg University, Allegany College, Garrett College, Son’s of the American Legion, Garrett County community and the Chamber of Commerce, Northern and Southern High Schools, local ski clubs and Garrett Memorial Hospital.
