2008 SUMMER GAMES
FACT SHEET

DATE: June 6-8, 2008

LOCATION: Towson University, Towson, MD

EVENT FORMAT: A three-day event including four official sports for Special Olympics athletes and a gymnastics demonstration. Elaborate Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and Special Events celebrate the athletes’ accomplishments. Family activities provide forum for family and friends of the competitors to meet.
