LOCATION: Towson
University, Towson, MD
EVENT FORMAT: A three-day event
including four official sports for Special Olympics athletes and a
gymnastics demonstration. Elaborate Opening and
Closing Ceremonies, and Special Events celebrate the athletes’
accomplishments. Family activities provide forum for family and friends of
the competitors to meet.

2000 volunteers

Softball (team and individual skills) and a Equestrian
