At Special Olympics Maryland we are committed to protecting your privacy and the following are the policies in place to addresses these issues: 

1. Special Olympics Maryland collects personal data (names, addresses, zip/postal codes, e-mail addresses, etc.) that are voluntarily submitted by the a visitor for various reasons.  These reason may include, but are not limited to the following: volunteering, event participation, and/or online donations. This data, including email addresses, may be shared with our local chapter Special Olympics Program offices for these purposes. Web site visitor information, including e-mail addresses,  is used for internal Special Olympics Maryland purposes only and will never be sold or exchanged to third parties. 

2. You may receive periodic mailings from us with information on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, requests for financial support. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by contacting us using the address or phone number provided below, or email us at webmaster@somd.org.

3. For each visitor to our site, our server automatically recognizes only the visitor’s domain name, but not the e-mail address. No part of our site makes use of cookies for user tracking, content customization, or any other purpose.
